Since 2021, extensive community input has been conducted to identify housing needs, leading to the development of Northside Lofts, and updates to amenities that residents are seeking. This redevelopment effort has many Aledo supporters and partners beyond the development team. We are grateful for the strong support letters in support of the project from many community-based agencies and businesses.
GROWTH, and Growth General Contracting, LLC, are actively supporting entrepreneurship in Aledo. Andrew Fisher, Construction Director, serves on Aledo Main Street’s Economic Vitality Committee, offering expertise on how Northside Lofts can spur local business growth and innovation. In October 2023, the committee toured GROWTH-led developments in Rock Island. Members met business owners in mixed-use spaces and learned about best practices and loan programs from Bridge Investment Community Development Corporation, a CDFI that helps small businesses launch and grow.
In November 2023, Brian Hollenback, GROWTH President/CEO, and Andy Fisher discussed these efforts in an interview with WRMJ Radio. In February 2025, outreach providing an update prior to the fourth, and final application was provided to the community, including continued updates and community meetings on gaining input on various redevelopment initiatives within the Northside Lofts redevelopment effort.
